Birch Consulting, LLC Services
Approach
Enterprise excellence in a business is much like, really it is exactly like, a fitness goal. It starts with understanding the "why" behind taking on an endeavor, and evaluating the business leader's willingness to engage over the long term. Along the way we will experience learning, growth, pain, and more learning. Ever so slowly, there will be measurable gains, and those gains will sustain over time, building and building until you are able to create a business that you love.
Why?
The business world is full of snazzy consultants ready with a dialed-in formula for success, or a methodology for fast transformation. Like fad diets, these types of short-term approaches can work, but when measured over 5 to 10 years many of these endeavors fail to deliver sustained results, and even worse, can be more expensive in the long run.
Birch Consulting focuses on true transformation, which is, by nature, only limited to the mindset of the business owner/leader. Our intent is to support organizations to learn how to apply business principles on their own in order to experience improvement that sustains. A key component to our approach is the "teach to fish" model. We are not consultants that will swoop in and improve things for you, rather, we will take the time to teach and coach the executives and leaders along the pathway of continuous improvement.
Focus
Our initial focus is with the business leader (Owner / CEO / President / Board). We conduct an interview and assessment, and discuss approaches that make sense. We are looking to help the leader(s) live a life they love in the business, and in so doing, create a business that matters.
Services
* Continuous Improvement is a framework for achieving organizational success: maximizing customer value by minimizing waste. Sounds easy, but putting this simple statement into practice over the long term is tricky. When implemented well, Lean organizations are remarkably more successful on almost every measure than their competition, or than similar enterprises.
